Ken Goike for State Representative

“With rising costs pinching our budgets, government must stop taking more hard-earned money from taxpayers and change the way things are done. I believe in common sense reforms to lower taxes, bring jobs back to our community and stop frivolous government spending. People create jobs, not the government!”

— Ken Goike

Ken Discussing the IssuesI am a first time candidate for public office. I have spent the last 30 years operating Goike Trucking and Excavating located in Ray Township. By being involved in the community my whole life, I was encouraged by many to run for office to bring some common sense to Lansing. I am someone that can work with others to come to a consensus for the best solution for the cause.

Our government culture is broken. I have watched while government gets bigger and takes more of our hard-earned money. As government grows, our freedoms shrink. Government cannot be allowed to take over private sector functions, especially the economy. People create jobs, not the government! I have encountered the mindless regulations that burden businesses and stifle job growth.

I am not afraid to make waves where I feel something is amiss. I am not afraid to propose new legislation where I see fit. I am not a person that just stands by when I can do something about it. I am asking for your vote to take common sense values to the legislature. With lower taxes and less regulation, we can bring back jobs to our great state.
